I’m a Georgian woman who is an involuntary transplant to Indiana, but who is all in for my family. I earned my PhD in biblical studies from Vanderbilt University, while I was also busy growing and birthing my first two daughters. Daughter number three was born during my first year as a tenure-track seminary professor.
Today, I do a bit of everything. I advocate for people experiencing homelessness. I serve as a chaplain in a healthcare setting. I teach. I preach. Sometimes, I even write books.
I’ve been a survivor. I’ve been a single mom. I’ve had to figure a lot of things of things out on my own, but I hope that you won’t have to.
My husband, Michael, is a social workerand the backbone to everything I do. He’s also the world’s most committed stepdad. We parent our three young daughters and try to instill in them love of all our favorite fantasy and sci-fi series. And love for God and neighbor, of course.
Now, how about you? Tell me your story.
